Silicon Carbide Our premier range of silicon carbide includes both black and green varieties. Black silicon carbide is expertly crafted from quartz sand, petroleum coke, and premium silica, skillfully smelted at elevated temperatures within a resistance furnace. With a hardness that bridges the gap between corundum and diamond, its mechanical strength outshines corundum, while maintaining a brittle and sharp nature. Meanwhile, green silicon carbide, formed from petroleum coke and high-grade silica with added salt, is also meticulously smelted at high temperatures, offering superior hardness and mechanical strength that surpasses corundum.

Black Silicon Carbide This remarkable material is characterized by its brittle, sharp nature and exceptional electrical and thermal conductivity. It boasts a substantial Knoop hardness, ranging from 3100 to 3280 kg/mm².

Green Silicon Carbide This synthetic marvel, known as green carborundum, offers unparalleled thermal conductivity and immense strength, retaining its robustness up to 1000ºC, making it 7.5 times stronger than Alumina.

Green silicon carbide stands out with its exceptional hardness, ranking at Mohs 9.4 and 2600 Knoop, surpassed only by CBN and B4C.

Silicon carbide abrasives are perfect for tackling tasks on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, rock, leather, and rubber. Its versatile nature also makes it an excellent choice as a refractory material and a metallurgical additive.
