Silicon carbide Our offering includes two primary types: black and green silicon carbide. Black silicon carbide is meticulously crafted using quartz sand, petroleum coke, and premium silica as foundational materials. These are subjected to high-temperature smelting in a resistance furnace, achieving a unique hardness that situates itself between corundum and diamond. Notably, its mechanical strength surpasses that of corundum, and it exhibits a sharp brittleness that is highly desirable in industrial applications. Green silicon carbide, on the other hand, is engineered with petroleum coke and top-tier silica, with the addition of salt as an additive, then smelted under similar high-temperature conditions. This results in a hardness also between corundum and diamond, and a mechanical strength superior to corundum.

Black Silicon Carbide is known for its brittle and sharp characteristics. It excels in both electrical and thermal conductivity. Its Knoop hardness ranges impressively from 3100 to 3280 kg/mm2, making it an excellent choice for various demanding applications.

Green Silicon Carbide is an engineered carborundum that boasts high thermal conductivity and exceptional strength, retaining its robustness even at temperatures reaching 1000ºC. This makes it approximately 7.5 times stronger than Alumina, positioning it as a superior option for challenging environments.

Green silicon carbide is distinguished by its extreme hardness, ranking at Mohs 9.4/2600 Knoop. It stands as one of the hardest materials, only surpassed by CBN and B4C, making it ideal for rigorous applications.

Silicon carbide abrasives are expertly crafted for optimal performance on materials such as cast iron, non-ferrous metals, rock, leather, and rubber. Beyond abrasives, it finds extensive use in refractory materials and as a metallurgical additive, underscoring its versatility and indispensability in industrial applications.
