Silicon Carbide Our product line features both black and green silicon carbide. Black silicon carbide, crafted from the finest quartz sand, petroleum coke, and high-grade silica, is produced by smelting these premium materials at high temperatures in a resistance furnace. This results in a material whose hardness gracefully sits between corundum and diamond, offering mechanical strength that surpasses corundum, while remaining delightfully brittle and sharp. Meanwhile, our green silicon carbide is fashioned from top-tier petroleum coke and silica, with a touch of salt as an additive, smelted to perfection in a resistance furnace. It shares the same superior hardness between corundum and diamond as its black counterpart, yet boasts even greater mechanical strength than corundum.

Black Silicon Carbide is a marvel of brittleness and sharpness, offering outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity. Its remarkable Knoop hardness ranges from 3100 to 3280 kg/mm², making it a material of distinction.

Green Silicon Carbide is an ingeniously synthetic, brittle form of carborundum known for its exceptional thermal conductivity and immense strength, which remains uncompromised even at 1000ºC, boasting a robustness 7.5 times that of Alumina.

Green silicon carbide is distinguished by its supreme hardness, achieving a Mohs rating of 9.4 and a Knoop hardness of 2600, placing it just after CBN and B4C in the hierarchy of hardness.

Silicon carbide abrasives are expertly designed for versatility, making them ideal for working with cast iron, non-ferrous metals, rock, leather, rubber, and more. Additionally, they serve as exceptional refractory materials and valuable metallurgical additives.
