Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is meticulously manufactured by elevating green petroleum coke to intense temperatures up to 1400ºC, resulting in a product with exceptional electrical conductivity and remarkably low specific electrical resistance. CPC stands out as an essential component in the aluminum anode sector, graphite electrode production, and a multitude of other industries where carbon consumption is pivotal.
Primarily serving the metallurgy and foundry sectors, Calcined Petroleum Coke enriches the carbon content during steel-melting and casting processes. This versatile material also enhances scrap steel utilization, minimizes pig iron dependency, and in some cases, eliminates the need for scrap iron entirely. Additionally, CPC finds applications in the manufacturing of brake pedals and friction materials.
